Encontrar en diferentes literaturas referencias a los r\u00edos como divisiones imaginarias entre pueblos, que generan sensaciones de no pertenecer a una poblaci\u00f3n espec\u00edfica, permite relacionar esta percepci\u00f3n con la falta de sentido de pertenencia que hemos venido adoptando de generaci\u00f3n en generaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La situaci\u00f3n de nuestro r\u00edo Guatapur\u00ed no ha sido diferente. Al estudiar geogr\u00e1ficamente lo que interpretamos en sentido norte-sur, encontramos que es el inicio de nuestra ciudad, separando los corregimientos del norte de la capital del departamento del Cesar, Valledupar. A pesar de que su recorrido no solo est\u00e1 en la zona norte, sino que bordea la margen derecha de esta capital, actualmente su localizaci\u00f3n protagonista se encuentra entre el puente de concreto y unos pocos metros del puente colgante, representando la divisi\u00f3n entre el inicio de la ciudad y las monta\u00f1as hacia los corregimientos del norte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sin embargo, al convertirse no solo en un recurso h\u00eddrico, sino tambi\u00e9n en un recurso cultural de nuestro folclor vallenato, que ha logrado recorrer todos los rincones del mundo a trav\u00e9s de composiciones vallenatas, se hace obligatoria su visita para personas de todo el mundo, convirti\u00e9ndose en un potencial tur\u00edstico de nuestro municipio y generando un impacto positivo en la sostenibilidad econ\u00f3mica, ambiental y sociocultural.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No obstante, el uso excesivo de este recurso, en combinaci\u00f3n con el crecimiento desmedido a nivel comercial, el uso como club social para la terminaci\u00f3n de muchas fiestas y la falta de acompa\u00f1amiento de acciones conjuntas son algunas de las razones que hoy amenazan la preservaci\u00f3n de este recurso para las futuras generaciones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reconocer que nos encontramos en un momento hist\u00f3rico para la recuperaci\u00f3n del r\u00edo nos invita a unir fuerzas para cambiar los paradigmas que hemos construido a trav\u00e9s de la historia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hoy por hoy, podemos encontrar desde horas de la madrugada muchos deportistas que utilizan este espacio, no solo reconoci\u00e9ndolo como un escenario deportivo, sino tambi\u00e9n aprovechando su paisaje natural para la toma de fotos en las redes sociales, causando el mismo efecto en la divulgaci\u00f3n de nuestra riqueza natural, pero con un enfoque totalmente diferente. Esa delimitaci\u00f3n de nuestra ciudad que hemos adoptado de generaci\u00f3n en generaci\u00f3n se est\u00e1 convirtiendo en el punto de partida para otras actividades deportivas que, en vez de separar, nos unen con los corregimientos del norte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No puedo pasar por alto la decisi\u00f3n que en su momento tom\u00f3 la ciudad de Barranquilla, donde se transformaron m\u00e1s de 280 mil metros cuadrados de espacio p\u00fablico en el Gran Malec\u00f3n y que hoy, sus n\u00fameros hablan por s\u00ed solos: m\u00e1s de 21 millones de visitas desde su apertura, el lugar m\u00e1s visitado en Colombia por cuatro a\u00f1os consecutivos y 4 millones en ventas diarias por local, aproximadamente -seg\u00fan datos de la Alcald\u00eda de Barranquilla-.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Es la oportunidad de crecer de la mano de este recurso h\u00eddrico, potenciando nuestro turismo y, necesariamente, ampliando su alcance cultural a lo deportivo y acad\u00e9mico para apuntar a su sostenibilidad en el tiempo. Es necesario aplicar el Objetivo de Desarrollo Sostenible 17, pilar transversal de la Agenda 2030, donde se requiere una cooperaci\u00f3n entre lo p\u00fablico, lo privado y la academia, dejando atr\u00e1s los esfuerzos de manera aislada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En lo p\u00fablico, hoy podemos ver diferentes acciones con las intervenciones en infraestructura y recuperaci\u00f3n del cauce natural, logrando un respiro al r\u00edo. Pero hoy, necesariamente, se requiere un apadrinamiento del sector privado a trav\u00e9s de inversiones que logren impulsar no solo lo ecol\u00f3gico, sino tambi\u00e9n lo econ\u00f3mico.
